Accra, Ghana – President John Dramani Mahama has donated assorted items, including cleaning materials and food supplies, to the Mamprobi Polyclinic as part of activities marking the ongoing National General Cleaning Exercise.

The donation formed part of the President’s participation in the nationwide sanitation campaign aimed at restoring communities, promoting public health, and supporting institutions affected by the recent devastating floods.

President Supports Healthcare Facility

During his visit, President Mahama presented various cleaning supplies to assist the Mamprobi Polyclinic in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and healthcare workers.

The donation also included food items intended to support the facility and complement ongoing relief efforts following the recent flooding that affected several communities in Accra.

The gesture reflects the government’s commitment to supporting frontline health institutions while promoting improved sanitation across the country.

National Clean-Up Exercise Continues

The donation was made as President Mahama joined citizens, security agencies, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), and volunteers in the National General Cleaning Exercise, which seeks to improve environmental sanitation and reduce the risk of future flooding.

The nationwide campaign focuses on desilting drains, removing refuse, cleaning markets, hospitals, schools, and public spaces, as well as educating the public on proper waste management practices.
