Ghana Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Rates Hajj 2026 Success at 95%
The Ghana Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG), stakeholders, and President John Dramani Mahama for what he described as a highly successful Hajj 2026 pilgrimage.
Speaking after the completion of this year’s pilgrimage, Ambassador Sinare praised the collaborative efforts of all institutions and individuals involved in coordinating the journey of Ghanaian pilgrims to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
He specifically commended the leadership of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana under Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, noting that their dedication and commitment contributed significantly to the smooth execution of Hajj operations.
According to Ambassador Sinare, Ghana achieved a remarkable 95 percent success rate in its Hajj operations this year.
While acknowledging a few minor challenges during the pilgrimage, he described them as negligible and assured Ghanaians that lessons had been learned to ensure even better performance in future exercises.
“There were a few minor mishaps, but they were insignificant and will not be repeated during Hajj 2027, Insha Allah,” he stated.
The Ambassador further assured prospective pilgrims that authorities are already looking at ways to improve the organization and management of future Hajj exercises.
He emphasized that continuous assessment and stakeholder collaboration would help enhance services, logistics, accommodation, transportation, and overall pilgrim welfare.
According to him, Ghana remains committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience for all Muslims undertaking the sacred journey.
Ambassador Sinare also urged prospective pilgrims planning to perform Hajj in 2027 to begin preparations early and comply with all official requirements.
He particularly encouraged pilgrims to make their Hajj fare payments on time to avoid last-minute complications, registration challenges, and possible disappointments.
He stressed that early payments help authorities make adequate arrangements for visas, accommodation, transportation, and other logistical requirements necessary for a successful pilgrimage.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of Ghana, Saudi authorities, airline operators, Hajj officials, and all stakeholders who contributed to the success of Hajj 2026.
He noted that the collective efforts of all partners ensured that thousands of Ghanaian pilgrims were able to perform their religious obligations successfully and return home safely.
As preparations gradually begin for Hajj 2027, Ambassador Sinare remains optimistic that Ghana can achieve an even higher level of success in future pilgrimages.
